Mike Tyson on His Vegan Diet: “I wish I was born this way.” [VIDEO]

Last August, I wrote about Mike Tyson’s transformation to veganism. At the time, he had been vegan for 8 months. While he was very enthusiastic about the diet and said he felt great (“I get these explosions of energy. I don’t know how long they last, but they’re like explosions. So powerful.”), I’m sure I wasn’t the only one wondering if he would stick to it.

Well, Greta Van Susteren of FOX News recently recorded an interview with him at his home in Arizona and it looks like he’s in it for the long haul.

Here’s a little clip from that part of the interview (full video interview below):

TYSON: I feel awesome.

VAN SUSTEREN: Mentally feeling different as vegan?

TYSON: Incredible. I wish I was born this way. When you find out about the processed stuff you have been eating. I wonder why I was crazy all those years.

VAN SUSTEREN: The food

TYSON: All that garbage I was eating running around,… the drugs didn’t help either.

(LAUGHTER)

We also got a little sneak peak into how Tyson became a vegan. It seems that his wife likes trying out different diet trends for the purpose of losing weight. When she tried out the vegan diet, apparently it really stuck with Tyson. As he said last year, he realized awhile back that he was done with meat:

“I ate, like, the tiniest piece of meat, and I woke up violently sick. It was vicious pain. I was throwing up. And I realized meat’s become a poison for me now.”

Tyson talked more about how his whole personality and life goals have changed in the interview, and he talked about and showed off some of his greatly-loved pigeons. The whole interview was pretty interesting to watch. He seemed like a whole different Mike to me. Watch it here:
