Kars4Kids just created an Infographic entitled “How many cars were recycled last year” (below). Given that we’ve covered recycling of old cars in the past, it’s an important but not widely discussed topic, and there are some pretty interesting stats…
Increase Wind Power with Your Mouse
A good, old friend of sustainablog and our media network, Jan van Voorst, started a new project not long ago where you support green organizations or actions by sharing posts on social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, and Google+). Jeff…
NYC Occupy Wall Street March November 7
A number of organizations are planning and rallying people for a NYC Occupy Wall Street march tomorrow, November 7. The march is being called “End to End for 99%” and is starting at 181st St. & St. Nicholas (the northern tip of Manhattan) at 10:30am. The march will end at Zucotti Park.
Occupy Oakland March 100,000?
Initial reports of Occupy Oakland’s General Strike March last week had the number of protesters at 3,000-10,000, max. But where did the number come from? Detroit Rising
One of my favorite bloggers out there, Peter Sinclair, recently found this great video on the green uprising in Detroit. You have to watch it. It’s great, fun, inspiring.

It’s a film project in which the film is made up of the work of thousands of filmmakers all over the world (every country in the world) using material from the same day, October 10, 2010. Even this short trailer above includes the work of 90 individuals and organizations. Cool, and beautiful work.
Father’s Day Ecards
It’s another big card-giving holiday. And, for those who want to be a little greener and save some trees (and ink), ecards are the clear way to go. That’s even more so at this time anyway since it IS Father’s Day & you probably don’t have much time to go any other route.
Well, to help you out (if you need it), I’ve got a handful of favorite ecard companies. I think these are my 4 favorites, and why
